Hennie currently heads the Deceased Estate Department at DupWest. For the past 23 years, he has gained vast experience in both the deceased estates and conveyancing fields of law and is considered a specialist in the field of deceased estates.

Hennie obtained his LL.B degree from the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education in 1994. After the successful completion of his articles in 1999, Hennie was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2000. Hennie then furthered his career and was admitted as a conveyancer in 2002. For the past 12 years, he has gained vast experience in both the deceased estates and conveyancing fields of law and is considered a specialist in the field of deceased estates. He joined the firm in 2012.

Before completing his articles, Hennie travelled Europe from 1995 to 1997. His travels gave him enormous respect and appreciation for foreign food and culture, and helped him develop tremendous people skills. His spot-on people skills, passion and empathy are valuable traits for his department, since his duties entail liaising with the loved ones of the deceased. Hennie has close links to brokers and auditors, who refer matters to him on a regular basis, owing to his expertise and high work ethic in the field of deceased estates. Hennie is a loving and involved father and lives an active lifestyle. He is also a fervent marathon runner and a member of the Rustenburg Marathon Club. He has participated in various half and full marathons in and around the North-West and Gauteng, and has completed the Comrades Marathon four times.
